THE VILLAINOUS/KND CROSSOVER

Are you craving
MORE
Codename: Kids Next Door?

I mean,
it's been a long time since a new episode came out.

And it'll probably be a
REALLY
REALLY
REALLY
REEEEEEEEEALLY
long time before one does.
If
EVER!

But in the meantime,
there's the
VILLAINOUS VILLAIN
ORIENTATION
CODENAME: KIDS NEXT DOOR
EPISODE!

Whaaaaaaaaat?!

Allow me to explain.

There's a Cartoon Network
Latin America
web series
called
created by
the sooper powerful

It's a show about a group of inept
 sooper villains
called the
Black Hat Org and a lot of people
LOVE IT!

Well, it turns out that Alan and his team at
A.I. Animation Studios
are big KND fans and wanted to do a crossover episode with them.
(their Villain orientation videos had already crossed with a
number of Cartoon Network shows
like Samurai Jack, Powerpuff Girls and Adventure Time.)

So they gave me a call to run some ideas by me and make sure
what they were doing worked within the
KND universe.

They were all
very smart,
very talented,
and
very big
KND nerds!

I couldn't help but be on board.
We had a great time talking
and afterwards I sent
them some drawings to say
THANKS!

But enough of my blathering.
Why dontcha check out the episode?

Spoiler alert:
Hope you speak Spanish!

SKETCHBOOKS GET DONE FASTER THAN BLOG POSTS THESE DAYS

In case you haven't noticed,
I'm not posting here much.
It's all about the lunch bags these days.

But I'm still filling up
sketchbooks
(albeit slooooowly)

This one started
August 5th, 2017
with a
Sooper
Saiyan
Beaker
sticker
mash-up:

And the title page
features my
Les Paul
for no other reason
than
just because...

Here's the sketch that got it started:

And then there's the usual
nonsense:

Mighty
voice actor
Eric Bauza
(voice of Fozzie)
needed to show that not only can do
voices better than me...
he can
DRAW
better than me:

My son Parker drew this while we were out one day.
So I stole it.

I had Jenny Slate
(the voice of Miss Nanny)
sign the book after recording some songs with
sooper Muppet Babies composer
Andy Bean

I love swiping post-it doodles from around the office and
sticking them in a sketchbook:

That's a sooper director Guy Moore
post-it down there:

This was the magnet on all the doors
on the Social Media Moms Disney Cruise
I presented Muppet Babies at.
If I still did blog posts,
that would have been an
AWESOME
one:

A good portion of this sketchbook is taken up with
double-page drawings I did at the two
Muppet Babies Writing Summits
we hosted.
For two days we sat with a variety of awesome writers and
brainstormed story ideas for Muppet Babies.
SO FUN!

After the premiere of
Muppet Babies the crew went out for
food and drink so I passed the sketchbook around.
There's some
Stan Ruiz,
Matt Danner,
Jina Noh,
and John Won
in there,
amongst others.

And then on
April 11th, 2018
this one was done:

And I'm off to the next sketchbook!

I hope you're still drawing in yours!

SOME OF THE LAST SKETCHCARDS FROM 2017!

I just found some pics from the last
batch of holiday sketch cards that
got sent to cooper lucky operatives
who bought prints at the printlab!

I get a LOT of Numbuh 60 requests:

I don't get many episode-specific requests,
so this one from
Operation: SNOWING
was fun:

Someone asked for a 15th Anniversary card,
which was a neat idea:

Numbuh 362 might be one of the
most requested
characters:

I'm not sure if we'll be doing the free sketchcard
offer next holiday season.
Depends on how busy things are.
But let's hope so!

They're fun to draw!
